Happy Hollow has been an Omaha institution since it first opened its doors in 1907, long before it became a wedding venue. They moved into their West Omaha location in 1924 and began to renovate the property, adding all the charm you can still find today. While this course has had its fair share of ups and downs over the years, it remains committed to providing you with a space where you can make memories you will still be talking about for years to come. With their events team, planning your dream wedding has never been easier!
Details of the Grounds
When you book your wedding with Happy Hollow Club, you will have a designated space for every party of your wedding. Your day will begin in the get-ready suites, where you can gather along with your wedding party. Decorated with chair rail and leather furniture, it will be the best spot to snap some candid pictures as you are surrounded by all your favorite people.
From here, it will be time for your ceremony. The outside of the clubhouse always tends to be a favorite spot! This area gives you a flat, lush lawn ideal for seating your guests. You will make your way down the aisle up to the altar, where you will have trees to serve as your backdrop.
Once you have finished exchanging your vows, you can stroll around the property and find countless backdrops for your portraits (we’ll chat more about that in a second!). Meanwhile, your guests will be treated to a cocktail hour. If you prefer to host this outside, the back of the clubhouse offers a two-tiered deck ideal for relaxing over a drink. Inside, you will have a fully stocked bar where your guests can order all their favorite cocktails!
Reception Options At The Happy Hollow Club Omaha Wedding Venue
Lastly, it will be time for your reception. If you would like to turn your evening into an upscale garden party, the venue can set up a tent just outside the clubhouse. You will have a romantic space where you can spend the evening celebrating with those you love the most. Out here, you can accommodate up to 400 guests.
If you would prefer an indoor reception, you are going to adore the newly renovated ballroom! This room was built to be sophisticated and inviting. The walls have been painted a deep, moody shade of gray, while the columns around the room add a luxurious feel. The room has a built-in dance floor ideal for dancing late into the night! You will be able to fit up to 340 guests in here. If you would like something a little more intimate, the primary ballroom has the ability to be divided into several different spaces, so you can have the ideal setting for your party.
Photography Opportunities
One of the many things I love about Happy Hollow Club Omaha is just how picture-perfect weddings are here! As you start out getting ready with your wedding party, you will have a luxurious space ideal for pictures with your closest friends. Then, once you have your completed look, you can head outside the clubhouse and take pictures alongside the pathways. The front of the building has a vibrant pollinator garden that tends to show off once the weather starts to warm! It’s a fabulous option for a backdrop!
If you plan to do a first look, I would recommend the pathways leading out to the golf course. These have been carefully landscaped, giving you a lush background as you share this moment together. Then, once you are done with these pictures, you can continue to explore the property, taking some pictures alongside the water as well as the trees. Inside, the bar is always a great spot for stylish couple’s portraits. You can share a kiss over some cocktails.
Finally, the event lawn is always a great spot for large group photos. It’s sunny yet flat, giving you an accessible spot to show off the views!
